AskDexter.org was born in Hoboken, New Jersey by happy pet owners AJ & Berta. Due to their busy work schedules AJ & Berta occassionally relied on the help of doggie day cares in the New York Tri-State Area which not only caused additional financial obligations but also almost cost the life of their dog, Dexter. Dexter got an illness from other dogs from a doggie day care. Altough Dexter recovered from this illness, this event motivated his owners to come up with other options that can help others as well. And that is how AskDexter.org was created.
The purpose of AskDexter.org is:
- To help pet owners and their pets socialize with other pet owners and their pets, and find/offer mutual pet help-at no cost.
- To help pet owners find reliable and trustworthy veteritarians; clean, well-equiped & friendly pet stores; clean & friendly dog runs.
- To sell high quality & individually selected pet items in Dexter's Boutique at low cost.
- To promote adopting a pet as opposed to purchasing a pet.
